Els van den Boogaard
Els van den Boogaard has been drawing and painting for as long as she can hold a pencil. She took her first drawing lessons in 1998 and at Arthur Bernard she was introduced to the technique ofabstract acrylic paint.
after 2000, when Els van den Boogaard stopped working, did she have more time to further develop her creative skills. In addition to the Free Academy of Visual Arts, she has also taken painting lessons with various artists.
From 1998 to 2008, Els has been a member of the Hoeksche Waardse Teken en Schilderkring.
She gets her inspiration from nature, it is a quest to express it on a canvas. To travel from a white canvas to an exciting abstract or semi-abstract landscape is a journey of discovery for Els. Finding the border between realism and abstraction will always remain a search.
At varying locations Els paints outdoors in nature, such as in the Ardennes, Limburg, Friesland, Zeeland and in the Achterhoek.
Els van den Boogaard regularly exhibits at various locations in the Hoeksche Waard such as Wassenaar, Burgh Haamstede, Vlissingen, Dordrecht, Rotterdam and Zwijndrecht.
